Meet Courtney

I am a mom of 3, originally from Vancouver Canada and moved to London in 2012. I started my journey in the industry working in retail. I have touched every aspect of the business from sales associate, cash manager, visual merchandiser, inventory specialist, people management, logistics manager to store manager. Throughout all of these positions, my favorite role has always been working closely with individual clients, developing and polishing their personal style. I love to see the confidence that a great wardrobe exudes.

I created the Custom Edit after the birth of my first daughter in 2017. I suffered with postpartum depression and like many new moms, felt completely lost in myself mentally and physically. My goal is to help women rediscover themselves through their personal style, whether that is after baby or just growing through different life phases.
​
When building your style profile, I focus on colour, body shape, and functionality making sure your wardrobe works for your lifestyle. I am here to take the guess work out of getting dressed and create your perfect wardrobe.
I believe every woman deserves to look and feel their and that they truly go hand in hand. When you look good your feel good and when you feel good, that confidence radiates from you.
I am located in Kent and work throughout the London and Greater London Areas.

Feel like you have a closet full of clothes but nothing to wear? Have you recently changed body shape or feel like you just need a refresh? After completing a Body Shape Analysis and Colour Consultation, I edit through your wardrobe losing the pieces you don't need, identifying any ones you might be missing and most importantly re-working existing items to fully reflect your style personality and lifestyle needs. I leave you with just the good stuff and new ways to wear it all!

Custom Style Analysis
I build you a completely bespoke style profile based off of your colouring, body shape and lifestyle. I give you all the tips and tricks needed to best dress your shape, taking into consideration any concerns you might have. I carefully curate a range of pieces from a selection of online retailers to create outfits for you. The new outfits will be made to suit your budget, body shape and colouring with specific direction on how to style together.

Whether you have a holiday coming up or just feel your current wardrobe is missing some pieces, a personal shop is a great way to inject new life into your wardrobe. We will visit a few stores of your choice as well as ones I think will suit your personal style needs and budget. ​

Style Session
All the right pieces but not sure how to put them together? Using your body shape and colouring as a guide, I create fresh looks to highlight your best features. I keep a focus on how to elevate outfits as well as creating multiple looks from a small amount of pieces. I leave you with the tools and confidence to recreate these outfits and further expand your own wardrobe.

Body Shape Analysis and Colour Consultation
I use colour drapes to determine your seasonal colours that will enhance your natural skin tone while making you look younger and brighter. I walk you through how to mix your best colours into your current wardrobe, leaving you with a wallet size swatch book to take shopping with you. Next up, we complete a consultation to determine your body shape using clever dressing to emphasize your best bits.

A 30min Zoom or Facetime walking you through top tips on how to best dress your body shape and colouring. We work through any areas of concern as well as how to enhance your best bits.

I can not recommend Custom Edit enough. My wardrobe was in need of some serious revamping and Courtney came in and literally breathed life into it. She restyled many of my existing pieces (saving me money, which is always a bonus) and put them together so they looked both current and fashion forward. Some of my dated items were disposed of, I can be a hoarder so this was hard for me, but in turn it identified the gaps in my closet which meant I was able to indulge in my favourite hobby, shopping. Online Personal Shop
I had a brilliant experience with Courtney from The Custom Edit, she helped me with my complete wardrobe when I went on a Hen weekend away to Ibiza.
I had just had my second baby 9 months earlier and was feeling really self conscious and worried about what to wear to cover my insecurities, as well as feeling like I was following trends and looking good.
We went through my wardrobe and selected what I already had and felt comfortable in. Then Courtney spent the next couple of weeks sending me pictures of ideas so I could choose. Some were new complete outfits others were just a couple of pieces I could mix and match.
If things didn’t look right she was very honest and gave other ideas without upsetting me.
I was very pleased with all my outfits in my suitcase right up to the airport outfit she helped with. I went away feeling so confident and enjoyed the whole weekend.
